HOW WE BECAME PRINTERS
Every business has a background story. All stories are different, all stories have their own personal touch and each story is unique.
Our story is one that has deep roots in the Bialas family. In the 1940’s Frank Bialas Sr. worked for a small print shop in Brantford. He started here as a young man, working his way up. As time went on, he gained valuable experience and as the working father of 5 children he was able to provide for his young family. However, when Frank got word that the print shop would be closing its doors for good, times got tough.
Not being able to pay his wages before officially closing the doors, Frank and the owner came to an agreement. One that would change his life dramatically. This agreement placed pieces of printing equipment in his home garage. When the shop finally closed, Frank had accumulated enough equipment to push his car out and placed a new business into his hands. With his oldest son John, fresh from Major Junior Hockey and having successfully graduated with a Business Diploma from Conestoga College, the birth of a new print shop had begun. It was not an easy transition, but with hard work and a lot of sweat, comes great rewards.
Bialas Printing was founded in 1972 in the family garage and our business has been on the rise ever since. Purchasing a building in 1982 in our current location, our business houses 8 employees, 5 of which are family members. With the 3rd generation family member currently in his 10th full time year in the business, Bialas Printing truly is a family business.
Our background story is truly unique. A family man not willing to let hard times get the best of him, who took advantage of the opportunity given to him. The dedicated work ethic that Frank portrayed as a printer has been carried down through the years by all the staff here at Bialas Printing.
